FitnessWave Tennessee

In 1993, FitnessWave (formerly known as FittQuest USA) in conjunction with other fitness experts, created a business providing hydrostatic (underwater) body composition testing in Arizona.  Until then, hydrostatic body composition testing, universally considered the "Gold Standard" of body fat testing, had been hard to find, expensive and time consuming, available only at prestigious universities or to elite athletes. The headquarters eventually moved to the Orange County area of Southern California.Through hard work, creative vision and mobility, the business has grown to include numerous offices and several mobile wellness labs servicing Arizona, Nevada, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and multiple areas of California.

FitnessWave Tennessee was founded in 2006 by David and Kristy Harris, husband and wife who have a passion for health and fitness. David received his Kinesiology degree from the University of Tennessee in 1994, with plans to attend Physical Therapy School. Once he gained experience in physical therapy clinics, he decided it was not his calling. He put his degree on the shelf and returned home to work in the family gasoline distributor business for ten years. After the family business changed hands, he decided to return to his passion for health, fitness, and training. David became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer in 2005. At that point, he found the FitnessWave business opportunity.

With much deliberation and prayer, David and Kristy purchased a FitnessWave Mobile Lab and started FitnessWave Tennessee. In December 2007, FitnessWave opened its first office in Franklin, Tennessee at D1 Sports Training Complex. The new office, in conjunction with the Mobile Lab, allows FitnessWave to provide a greater range of service and convenience for clients.

In March 2008, FitnessWave proudly signed on to be a Fueling Sponsor of Team Magic, who manages triathlons and duathlons in Tennessee and Alabama. FitnessWave will be traveling the Team Magic event circuit this spring and summer, providing demonstrations and testing services at Team Magic expos and events.
